Celebrate Free Comic Book Day!

Although I'm now probably too old to be hanging around comic book shops, I sometimes use my son as an excuse to indulge in my inner child-geek =]

So when I heard about Free Comic Book Day, I was thrilled - free comics just for turning up?


Free Comic Book Day happens the first Saturday in May in participating comic book stores across the world. In 2011, this will be on Saturday 7th May.

Everyone who visits a participating store will be entitled to a free comic book (some stores may offer more than one, depending on availability and individual policy). There's a wide variety on offer to suit all ages including:

• The Green Lantern
• Kung Fu Panda
• The Dark Crystal
• Spiderman
• 2000 A.D.
